Our Public Challenges

What is a challenge?

Its a new idea suggested in December 2007

  • A challenge is derived from an activiti we need help from you to solve because we do not have suitable expertise within our volunteers to solve it.
  • A challenge can also be a fund raising project we would like you to participate in, in any capacity you feel fit.
  • A challenge can be ongoing or time limited
  • A challenge can be location limited and the solution location specific.
  • A challenge must result in the solution to the problem it is derived from.

At any given time, we have several challenges which we list here.

Who should respond to the challenge?

Our Email

Anyone who feels adequately skilled can respond to the challenge. You do not have to be a member of the charity at the time of your response. It does not matter what country you are in. It is easier for us if you can communicate in English or if you can get your communication translated into English before sending it to us.

To respond to any challenge, please Email us your offer of a solution, your location, and contact details, and which challenge you are responding to.

Challenge solution

 

 If more than one responses have been recieved, we will send all the respondents the details so a common solution can be arrived at. We will report indetail the final solution and the names of those who participated on the project. Where appropriate, we will publish pictures of the final solution. We also give an indication of how the final solution is coping and what impact it has had on those affected by the primary problem.

Challenge 1 Designing a transport system for shool children and for local fund raising. This will make it easier for over 30 children. Chatsworth, Zimbabwe As soon as possible
Challenge 2 Poems, Picctures, Stories, and Jokes to help people laugh, smile and learn Inda, Zimbabwe and Zambia Ongoing
Challenge 3 Naomi's challenge: Naomi and her friend are looking for sponsors. Read about it here soon. Himalayas  
Challenge 4 Fun Zimbabwe Ride: This is a 600 plus kilometers bicycle ride through the Zimbabwean bush, scheduled for March 2009 to raise funds for construction a much needed oprhanage there. Bulawayo, Masvingo, Harare, in Zimbabwe March to April 2009
